Rosie is a 4-5 year old female Pointer Cross. She is foster in the Isle of Wight. Rosie is a sweet natured and gentle pointer cross. She is about 4 years old and is medium size, weighing around 18kg. Rosie was rescued from a shelter where she was on a list to be put to sleep ? after being saved by our team, one of our lovely fosterers in the UK offered to look after her until she found her forever home and Rosie flew over to her foster home in July with her shelter pal Lucky.

Lucky has now been adopted and Rosie is looking for her happily ever after! Since arriving in her foster home, Rosie has shown herself to be a lovely girl. She can be a bit shy initially but as soon as she understands that you are approaching her with love and good intentions she will be happy to sit with you and get lots of strokes! She is a very easy-going girl who wishes to please, she is very gentle and affectionate with people she knows and would make a lovely adventure buddy and companion!

She has a cheeky side and likes to nick shoes and things she finds on counter tops – she’s learning her boundaries but you can expect a bit of fun and naughtiness while she settles in Rosie is an active girl and would suit a home with a couple or family where she will get lots of walks and playtime. As you can see from her photos, she is very good with other dogs and likes to play and snooze with them. She currently lives with several dogs in her foster home.

She would benefit from an another furry friend in a house. However, she would also be happy as an only dog as long as she spends enough time with her humans. She can live with children aged 10 and above. Rosie can’t live with cats or small furries as she very excited by them.

Rosie is learning to go in the car and while she accepts it, she wouldn’t be ready for long journeys just yet – while her foster mum works on getting her more used to the car, we’re looking for a forever home for Rosie on the Isle of Wight or the south coast.

Rosie can be left for a couple of hours after a good walk, is housetrained and walks ok on the lead in her harness, but will need to learn the basics of training and will need a forever family who are willing to put in the time needed for her training.

She is a smart girl and will learn quickly! She is a true gem of a dog and will make a wonderful, gentle and loving pet ?? If you can offer Rosie the home she deserves, please get in touch!
