Aero is a 1-2 year old male Pointer Cross. He is medium size at just 15kg. He is originally from Cyprus where he was brought into the village pound surrendered by owners because the kids had lost interest in him as he wasn’t a puppy anymore!
He flew over to a foster home in Essex, UK, a couple of weeks ago where he is settling in well and showing his loving and playful side. Here is what his foster mum says about him! Aero is a loving dog and likes nothing better than to cuddle up next to me on the sofa or having his belly rubbed.
He enjoys being loved and giving love. He is very timid, especially around men which we are working on. Aero has shown no aggression to other dogs or humans. Our neighbour has a cat and he has shown no interest in him. Aero knows the word walkies and will sit patiently waiting for his lead by the front door.
He walks great on a short lead next to you however is nervous of traffic and unexpected / loud noises so care should be taken while he’s gaining confidence. He would prefer to live in a quiet, countryside location. Aero loves doing “Zoomies” around the garden and has the time of his life playing with our resident dog.
He can be quite rough with him and he takes it in his stride. Aero was nervous of eating his food out of anything other than a plastic bowl but has overcome that and now eats out of a ceramic bowl. He loves food and treats!
Aero is house trained and we have left him a few times now (I work from home) for anything from 2 hours to 5 hours and we’ve had no problems – we normally come home to him asleep on our bed! Aero does like toys to chew so we always make sure they are lying around for him.
Aero just wants to be with you and is happy if I’m working in my office at home to just lay next to me – he enjoys playing with other dogs but given the choice we now think he would enjoy a human/s to love all to himself!
Aero was groomed by our local dog groomer and he was brilliant – he was calm and enjoyed the groom, was nervous at the hairdryer but relaxed once he was used to it. If you think you could offer Aero the forever home he deserves, please get in touch!
