Rio is a 6 month old male Pointer cross Whippet. We really need to help find him his perfect forever home he deserves it more than most after what he has been through we know he is work in progress but his foster home is working so hard with him and doing so well he has even mastered his house training now – hope the right home will see this – we would love a runner or someone with a group of dogs we think he would suit, an experienced home
As promised been to see lovely Rio & his brother today, they have been in Aunty Beth’s care for nearly 3 weeks now. I was amazed how much little Rio has come on, he was such a traumatized little boy when he first arrived in our care and found it very difficult living in a house for the first time in his life, this lad has been through some serious abuse in his life but although terrified at times he has never growled or show any signs of aggression and he has always really wanted to be friends, his brother is totally different we think because as a young pup was taken into foster whereas Rio remained in the kennels. Seeing him today really trying, he loves he walks and we met quite a few people which he coped with really well, he is very comfortable around other dogs.
He changes once outside and his little tail goes up, we ran for a little bit and he loved it managed to video it his saving grace would be to go to someone who wants a dog to run he is the perfect size not too big and not too small very athletic built and he loves it, this could be what gets him over his fears in life doing something he loves, we know it will take a special person with this baby boy but really hope the right experienced home comes along for him – he does not know me and was quite happy to walk and run with me.
Rio is fully vaccinated, has a passport, chipped and blood tested.
