Grey is a 5-7 year old male Pointer Cross. His weight is 26kg, he stands 53cm floor to shoulder. Grey was taken to the public shelter in Cyprus, as his owner was paralyzed and could not look after him anymore. He is completely blind and had surgery to remove both his eyes. He is calm, loving, laid back. His energy level is low to medium. I alternate a longer walk (an hour or so) with a day or 2 of shorter walks. He loves to be out anywhere, and loves a road trip in the car. He is fine provided they give him a bit of space initially. If they react towards him he does react back though. He’s fine with a collar, harness and lead. Briefly met Emily the cat and wasn’t interested. He likes everyone to fuss him. Sniffs hopefully for a treat and loves a fuss.

He loves anything soft with a squeak in it but he does rip them apart quite efficiently. Doesn’t like hard toys. No food aggression to humans at all but doesn’t like it if the other dogs get closer than about 50cm to his food. He take his medication in treats in the morning and loves them. He’s very good. He’s learning his way around the local area very quickly. He knows the word ‘careful’ which I use to tell him he’s about to walk into something. He can pull strongly if he gets a scent though as he is a big lad. Totally clean from day one. Will wee in the back garden but not poo in it! Also only likes to poo on grass! He just goes to sleep even if I’m out for a few hours. Was left for 6-8 hours in his foster home in Cyprus. Sleeps through the night quietly. Prefers to be near you but will settle in the kitchen just fine. He comes to his name straight away and also if you squeak the squeaker out of a toy. Totally blind but has no problems with it. Haven’t bathed him but have brushed him, checked his ears, clipped his claws and cleaned his teeth with no problems at all.

Fine with teenagers and above, just wants fuss. A bit unnerved by young children and backs away quickly. Yes he’s fine in a crate. Escape artists? Never tried to escape. Bounces up and down when you get the lead out. All four feet leave the ground! Also rubs his body against furniture and walls just like a cat does. Any I think provided it wasn’t super busy or noisy and any other dogs were patient initially and tolerant of him sometimes bumping into them. We will do a home visit and ask you to sign an adoption contract. Our adoption donation is £220. We don’t rehome our dogs to families with children under 10 years old.
