Zane is an 18-month-old male Pointer mix with a medium build, looking for an active home where he can truly thrive. He was found searching for food near a supermarket and brought into the shelter, where he quickly bonded with another dog.
Although his kennel mate was later moved to another shelter, Zane has since settled into a new group of dogs, both male and female. Now, he’s eager to find a forever home where he can enjoy one-on-one attention and a calmer environment.
Being a Pointer mix, Zane is energetic, affectionate, and highly intelligent. He is incredibly friendly and thrives on human interaction. He would love a home outside of the city, where he can explore green spaces, enjoy long walks, and have the freedom to stretch his legs.
Shelter life can be frustrating for active dogs like him, so he will benefit greatly from a home that can meet his exercise needs.
Zane gets along well with other dogs and could happily live with a well-matched canine companion, ideally a friendly female or a balanced male. However, he isn’t fond of more dominant, boisterous dogs barking at him from the next kennel, so a calm and playful dog would be the best match.
Zane hasn’t had much formal training, but he is eager to learn and responds well to positive reinforcement. With some basic training and structure, he will develop into a well-mannered companion.
He is full of potential and would make a fantastic adventure buddy for an active adopter willing to guide him through this next chapter of his life.
Zane is in good health and ready to travel as soon as he finds his forever home.
