Hera is a 3 year old female medium-sized Pointer Cross, currently in a shelter in Cyprus. She is a shy and quiet girl who is struggling to cope in the harsh, noisy shelter environment. She needs to be in a loving, quiet home to help her thrive.
She would flourish in a quiet home with a large garden. Hera can live with single persons or a family with children over 10 years of age. Introductions to children would need to be done slowly and with a quiet approach.
She can also live with a calm, laid-back resident dog, whether male or female, but she has not been tested with cats.
Hera is housetrained and calm when traveling in the car. She is okay being left alone for a short time and has never displayed any destructive behaviour.
Hera will need adopters who understand the complex needs of a rescue dog. She will need time, patience, and lots of loving reassurance. She is fearful of the lead and can be nervous of her surroundings, so she will need gentle, reassuring basic lead training.
