Meet the sweet Sergio.
Sergio is a 2 year old male Pointer Cross of medium size. He is a gentle boy who was brought into the pound as a stray in June 2023, meaning he has spent his whole adult life in an overcrowded shelter.
Being a shy boy, he struggled in this environment, so he was moved to private kennels. While still a cage, it is at least quieter.
Sergio is timid and wary of meeting new people, but he soon comes around once he feels safe and thoroughly enjoys receiving attention. He is cat-friendly and would be happy as either an only dog or with a female canine companion.
Sergio travels well in a car and has shown no interest in toys so far, though this may change once he is out of the kennel environment.
Sergio really needs to find his forever home soon so that his true personality can shine. Everyone who meets him falls in love, and it is heart-breaking to see him living his life in a cage when he deserves so much more.
He would suit an active family with older children, an outdoorsy couple, or a single person who understands that Sergio will need time, patience, and lots of love and kindness to feel safe and secure.
We have no doubt that inside this timid, gentle soul is a bouncy, fun-loving dog waiting to emerge with the help of some super loving humans.
Sergio can travel to the UK as soon as a home is offered.
