Hi, I’m Saga.
I’m a 6-year-old beagle-pointer cross with a gentle soul and a heart full of potential. My journey so far hasn’t been easy. I spent a long time wandering alone in the mountains, not really knowing where to go.
One day, I found myself at a kind person’s cottage, sneaking some food from the cat’s feeding station. It took a while for me to trust them, but eventually, they managed to coax me into their fenced yard, and then I came here to the shelter, where I’m slowly learning what love feels like.
I’m still a little shy when it comes to humans. I like treats (who doesn’t?) and I’ll come over for a gentle cuddle, but I’m still figuring out how to feel completely safe with people. I know I’ll get there, though, especially if I find a quiet, loving home with another dog.
I’m good with cats and other dogs, and having a confident dog friend by my side will help me come out of my shell even more.
I’d do best in a calm home with a fenced garden where I can feel secure and take my time to adjust. With patience, love, and understanding, I know I’ll become the happy, trusting boy I’m meant to be.
