Benz is a 12 month old male Pointer cross Whippet. He is a medium sized youngster with a black glossy coat. He is believed to be cross Pointer with Whippet. He came from Spain as a puppy and was homed with another resident dog, but unfortunately they now appear not to get on together.

Benz is not yet neutered and this could be a factor why the relationship between both dogs hasn’t worked out. We have been asked to find him another home and we would like a home with a female dog for company and as a play mate. Benz will be neutered before he is rehomed.

Some information about him from the home where he is presently living- “House-trained, sleeps well on his bed and in the crate, but does tend to grab stuff off the table if given free reign (he has a cheeky side). Sits at the click of a finger and corresponding command – takes treats very gently. He is very good with small kids and we’ve had several visitors from 2 years upwards and he’s brilliant with kids – literally just rolls over for love.

He LOVES to run – really fast. Generally good on recall but can be selective if other dogs are in the vicinity so may need some more training around this. No health issues to date – up to date on flea & worm treatment, No social issues with other dogs when out and about – very playful when meeting new dogs.

Doesn’t respond well to harsh tones – amazing with a positive reinforcement approach. A female dog (similar high energy breed) or him as the only dog would probably be the best arrangement for him. He is no experience with cats but loves to chase squirrels. He is currently location in Hampshire. The Adoption Fee : £380 – to be paid direct to the Spanish rescue via UK bank account.

All our adoptions are subject to successful homechecks. There is now a deposit for all homechecks of £25 which is deducted from the adoption fee. If the homecheck fails the £25 will be reimbursed. If people withdraw after the homecheck this is non refundable.
