Hazel is a 7-8 year old female Labrador cross Pointer being fostered in Tavistock Devon. This beautiful girl has a sad story – can you make her happy ending. She once along with her son and another dog had a mummy and daddy in Spain and was very happy unfortunately her mummy died. Her Daddy decided to leave Spain and leave the dogs on the streets to fend for themselves we think he had a break down of some sort to do this, they were in such a state when they were found one of them died from the neglect, Hazel and her son were taken in by Aunty Violet and Uncle Terry who run the rescue we work with closely in Spain in their home since last year.

Recently she has come to UK and gone into foster with lovely Aunty Debbie and her lovely family and dogs. She has recently also had her first summer holiday camping Cornwall and loved it. Hazel is quite an active dog and is fab off the lead, she is equally good on the lead and walks lovely. No problem in the car either. Happily living with other dogs and enjoys her walks with them and meeting new dogs, we do think she would thrive as an only dog she loves affection and loves to sit very close to you having a fuss. House trained and no problem being left.
We cannot really think of any negative to say about this girl except we do not think she can live with cats as will probably chase. The video below is when I was in Spain visiting her so you can see how affectionate she is and there are other videos below of her out on walks on the Moors in Devon.
This girl has had a rough time in the past and really deserves the best, she is a lovely dog, enjoys her walks, so looking for someone who wants a companion dog, who enjoys walking and is around and not going to be too busy for this lovely girl. A quiet home would be best for her. She sleeps in her bed in the bedroom at night and loves the sofa but is equally happy laying at her foster mums feet in the evening too.
Hazel has been spayed, vaccinated and has been blood tested.
