Sky is a beautiful Pointer Cross of around 4 years of age. He is currently in kennels in Spain. Sky was found seriously beaten and covered in blood and then somehow managed to survive in the kill shelter where other dogs were attacking him. Sky was at death’s door and in a state of shock when he was rescued and taken to refuge kennels where he made a miraculous recovery. While in kennels Sky has been wonderful around people and plays brilliantly with the owner’s 5 year old son.
However, as he is such a playful boy we feel he would be best in a home with older children, perhaps of 12 years upwards. Sky would need a home with a secure enclosed garden in which to play. We are looking for an owner who has had dogs previously. Because of his past experiences, Sky can be nervous around some other dogs. He could not live with a dominant dog, but may be able to live with a laid back dog. He could not be homed with cats. Sky needs an active home where his new owner is prepared to continue to reinforce the training he has received while in kennels. He is said to be a brilliant dog! and information regarding his training to date will be given. Any new owner would need to be prepared to take Sky to training classes where only positive methods are used.
If you are interested in agility training then Sky may just be the boy you are looking for! as we think he would love to go to agility classes too! Sky has been in kennels for more than 2 years and we cannot understand why. He is a beautiful boy, very affectionate, full of energy, is good with other dogs at the kennels and loves to play.
Sky is so ready for his forever home and is hoping that his new family is out there somewhere and will spot him soon. He is still in Spain, but can easily travel to the UK.
